If you have a special interest in women’s health or enjoy working with women in their child-bearing years, this workshop is for you!
Audrey will present the latest recommendations for exercise during pregnancy and the immediate post-partum period. This includes Pilates exercises suitable for special populations such as multiple birth (twins) and following caesarean section.
This practical workshop will apply knowledge gained from the Posture Lab, Upper Body Core and Hip Full Circle workshops to exercises in the Pilates studio, while sharing assessment and treatment advice for Diastasis of the Rectus Abdominis Muscles (DRAM).
We will also discuss hip and pelvic girdle considerations for myofascial and pelvic floor integrity, for post-natal recovery and advice for return to exercise and running.
