Movement Unchained – Fri 27 November 9am – 1pm (4 hours)

As movement professionals, it’s easy to get stuck teaching certain exercises that our clients follow obediently. This is a great way to convey and learn a basic movement vocabulary, but what happens after those movement skills are developed?

Are the same exercise patterns the best way to keep growing?

The truth is that once you’ve already learned something, repeating it won’t make it improve anymore.

In this introductory workshop, instead of planned exercises, we will explore task-oriented movement. Using tactical games, improvisation, and partnering, you will discover different ways of using your body to solve a problem. Unchained the movement inside you and get yourself ready to expand your movement boundaries.

The workshop comprises four different sessions:

  • Coordination drills
  • Rolling
  • Floorwork
  • Partnering Games

The fee for this 4-hour workshop equals $380 (incl. GST) – or $360 (incl. GST) Early Bird

At this workshop you will learn how to measure and monitor load to optimize the progress of your training programs. We will also explore creative ways of adapting Pilates exercises for athletes and higher-level performers.
