FEEDBACK FROM PARTICIPANTS
“A massive thanks to Maree, Andrew and Kimberley for organising such an incredible weekend of education and movement. One of the reasons I chose to study with Polestar was the incredible mentorship and on going education, this weekend was another superb example of this.
Each workshop was delivered with incredible knowledge, energy and skill. So many takeaways from the weekend.” Morag Gurnsey, The Pilates Room, Cambridge
“I really appreciated being able to do some studio based CPD utilising the chair & trapeze table, as a comprehensively trained practitioner who practices mostly in a studio setting, this was incredibly valuable and often few & far between offerings, so thank you again & I would love to attend more studio/apparatus-based workshops where possible. Kimberley was an excellent, practical educator who has a great deal of knowledge and expertly guided our bodies through the movements. I have picked up many new ideas and feel refreshed. It was also great to catch up with the South Island practitioners again.” Laura Hayes, Back In Motion Pilates – Christchurch
“Kimberley is an amazing teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop as well as the mat class and I will be practicing some of the material she demonstrated over the next few weeks to include into my repertoire. Definitely a Polestar Educator I would love to learn more from.” Katrin Gravley, Centred Pilates – Christchurch
From Fear to Flow: Navigating Pain Conversations with Movement
This workshop focuses on supporting clients who express pain, fear, or hesitation around movement. Learn how to read the body as it communicates concern, and how to respond with clarity, confidence, and appropriate movement strategies.
Blending NLP-informed communication with practical movement exploration, this session uses small apparatus and full studio equipment to develop tools for challenging moments – helping clients move from fear toward trust, flow, and embodied confidence.
Key focus areas are:
- How language shapes movement and perception
- Reading protective patterns and hesitation in the body
- Supporting confidence without reinforcing pain narratives
- Practical strategies for restoring movement options
