Join Senior Polestar Educator Elizabeth Wilson for this Continuing Education Course for Pilates Instructors.

This 2-day (16 hours) course is designed to identify special needs and interventions for individuals suffering from common neurological pathologies; Neurological Injury & Neurological Disease and it builds on Polestar’s principles of movement to facilitate a successful movement experience for clients suffering from these impairments. Learn how to plan treatments using the Polestar Pilates Environment.

Polestar movement fundamentals and instructional techniques are compatible with many exercise systems and somatic practices. You are encouraged to apply this theory and practice to Pilates-evolved techniques, to other movement practices and your own experiences.

Pre-requisites: Completion of Polestar Pilates Studio or Polestar Pilates for Rehabilitation OR Medical or rehabilitation professional (MD, PT, OT, DO, RN, Bach Sp Sc/Hmn Mvt, Bach App Sc) who has completed a comprehensive Pilates teacher training program with another organisation.

Course Fee

The course fee of $875 includes morning and afternoon teas as well as GST. Students are responsible for all personal extras, such as travel and accommodation and personal supplies and lunch during the course dates.

This course is taught by Liz Wilson from Perth, Australia. She is the owner/director of The Perth Pilates Studio and a member of the Australian Pilates Method Association (APMA) as a Level 2 (Practitioner). She holds certifications in mat, studio and rehabilitation Pilates and is a certified personal trainer and SmartBall rehabilitation practitioner. She is currently completing a degree in physiotherapy.

Liz has worked with a wide variety of clients including dancers from the West Australian Ballet and athletes from the West Australian Institute of Sport. As a Polestar Educator Liz conducts teacher training programs throughout Australasia and gives regular continuing education workshops for organizations such as the APMA and special interest groups of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
